Your Profile and How to Use It

Each user has two types of pages:

Personal page - your page that everyone can access
Dashboard (or Your profile administration panel) - the page that ONLY YOU CAN ACCESS and where you manage your account, messages, friends - generally all your activity on this site.

We suggest you to click both link above to understand the difference, for it is very important!

I. Your Profile management

You may edit your profile at any time you want to do that.

1. Your user image (avatar)
The easiest way to make your profile look good is to upload a photo.
To add / change your user picture you have to:

- login to your account
- click to "My profile" link (located on top right corner of the site)
- click orange link "Edit Profile"
- Select "User Picture" from sub-menu
- Click browse and locate an image you want to upload and use as your user picture
- Click "Upload your user picture"

In order you want your user picture to be deleted - simply click 'Delete my user picture" and it will be removed from system.

2. Your General Information

Every detail on your profile is a link. Click a link and you will see a list of people who share the same interests as you.

3. Profile settings
To set your profile policies (who can visit your page, who can post comments on my wall), to change password, to change timezone.

- login to your account
- click to "My profile" link (located on top right corner of the site)

There you can edit your signature and change basic forum settings (how many topics per page / posts per page will be shown)

II. Friends management

1. Adding new friends

All registered users can add friends. In fact you can add as many friends as you want!
It is easy! There are several ways of finding friends - for example look who's online (right side of the site), click any profile and locate "Add to friends" button right under user's photo.
Your friend request will be sent to the user for his/her approval so once it is approved you'll get a new friend! Then check his friends ("Friends" section of his profile's menu) ...

Also: Every detail on your profile is a link. Click a link and you will see a list of people who share the same interests as you.

2. Editing friends

Sooner or later you'll find out the need of sorting / deleting your friends.
here is how:

- login to your account
- click to "My profile" link (located on top right corner of the site)
- click "Friends" section to get a list of your friends
- each friend has A STAR (gold or grey), ENVELOPE and DELETE signs.

GOLD STAR - add user to your top friends
GREY INVERTED STAR- remove user from your top friends
ENVELOPE - send a message to user
DELETE - remove user from your friends

To get user to your top friends click his / her gold star.
To remove user from your top friends - click his / her grey star.

To edit your top friends click "Edit top friends". Then click a friend's icon once and holding the mouse move the user's icon to any place you want him/her to be moved to.
Release the mouse button. That's it! Even no need to save - your choice is saved automatically.

2. Approving friends
No doubt there will be enough of those users who are interested in adding you to their friend list so from time to time when you are logged in check your profile notifications (Dashboard, central part)
There is "Friend requests" area with a number indicating how many pending friend requests you currently have. Click it and you'll be redirected to the page with all those users who are dying to get your approval listed in line and waiting for their doom.
You have three option though:

1. GREEN TICK - To approve user
2. ENVELOPE - To send user a message
3. RED DELETE ICON - to ignore user's request

III. Mail management (messaging system)

Generally a whole messaging system works more or less the same way as your Thunderbird of Outlook Express do yet some of its features should be mentioned.

1. Sending messages
Each user can send and receive mail using our internal messaging system.
You can send a message to any user from his/her profile by clicking "Send me a message"
You can also send a message from your "Messages" section.
If a person you are going to send a message to is a friend of yours you also can find him/her in your "Address Book".
Simply start typing your friend's name in "Select recipient" field and he/she will be found. Click her/his name and write whatever you wanted to, then click "Send" button.

2. Sorting messages

You can sort all of your inbox or outbox messages by sender / recipient, subject or date. Simply click the appropriate link to get your mail sorted the way you want it to be shown ("From", "Subject" and "Received").
"Received" sorting can be performed both as ascending and descending (use the arrow next to the "Received" link as a reference).

3. Deleting messages

You can always delete one or more messages from both your inbox or outbox folders.
Single message can be deleted by clicking "Delete" icon. If you want to delete more than one message - use check boxes to select as many messages as you want. When all messages you want to delete are selected click "Delete selected" icon.
If you want all of your messages deleted click the upper check box - all messages will be selected. Then press "Delete selected". NOTE!!! There is no thrash folder so all of deleted messages will be erased permanently with no possibility to restore them!

4. Message history

When you are writing / replying to anybody - there is "View message history" button right below "Send" button.
Click it in order to see a full conversation with a person you are writing to.

IV. Forum use
